Something to ponder...
"When you take on a practice from another culture, you are allying yourself with that culture. It is a gift you have received. So what will you offer in return?"
As a new pagan, I am constantly searching for new ideas and thoughts on how to celebrate and express my spirituality. But this is hardly the first time I have borrowed practices from cultures other than my own. A few examples include trying out new recipes, using certain words, replicating fashion and art - I live in a big cosmopolitan city - different cultural influences are constant and everywhere! I like this idea of balance, instead of taking without return. I'm not sure exactly how to achieve it, but the advice "keeping an awareness of gratitude to those who have created and shared the new idea" is a good place to start.
