Snowday activity!

The snow keeps falling, and I keep looking for things to do to keep me from going stir crazy! Today I decided to put my leftover terrarium supplies to good use, and make a miniature display. I love terrariums, they look beautiful and there is something quite satisfying about creating a tiny, self-contained ecosystem.

 The supplies

 Miniature glass container

 First, add horticultural sand first for drainage

 then charcoal to filter and cleanse the air

 then moss to act as a barrier

 now add a little soil

and spray with a little water. Now you have a cute little terrarium! You can add a small plant (I often use African violets), a little figurine, or rocks and shells as you see fit. Enjoy!
